The Concept Designer is responsible for creating imaginative and engaging event concepts that effectively capture our clients’ vision and objectives while providing unforgettable experiences for their guests. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales and design teams to develop original and compelling event concepts that align with client briefs, budgets, and timelines.

  • Create detailed design proposals, compiling images, sketches, mood boards, floor plans, and renderings, to effectively communicate the vision to both clients and internal teams.

  • Research and analyze industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative design solutions to continuously improve and expand your creative skillset.

  • Present design concepts to clients in a clear and engaging manner, addressing their feedback and incorporating revisions as needed to ensure their vision is realized.

  • Work closely with the production team to ensure design elements are able to be executed and within budget, while maintaining a high level of quality and consistency.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to the overall creative process, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment within the team.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience – A minimum of 3 years of experience in event design, set design or a related creative field. Bachelor’s degree in Event Design, Interior Design, Graphic Design, or related field. A portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work, including conceptual sketches, mood boards and floor plans is a plus. 

  • Artistic – Exceptional design skills, with a keen eye for composition, color, space planning and storytelling.  

  • Computer savvy – Expertise in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

  • Organized – Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.   

  • Good communicator – Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate design concepts and rationales to clients and internal teams. 

  • Flexible – A creative and flexible mindset, with the ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and client preferences. 

  • Team Player - A collaborative and positive attitude, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
