EVENT PROPS PAINTER

Position Type: Part-Time with the possibility of Full-Time

  1. Painting & Finishing:

    • Utilize a paint spraying machine to apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to event props, ensuring a consistent and high-quality finish.

    • Prepare surfaces, including sanding and priming, to ensure proper paint adhesion.

    • Match and mix colors accurately, following specifications or sample chips.

    • Implement creative painting techniques to achieve desired effects.

  2. Inventory Management:

    • Manage and maintain inventory levels of all painting materials, tools, and equipment.

    • Ensure proper storage and disposal of materials in compliance with safety regulations.

    • Track usage and reorder supplies as needed.

  3. Quality Control & Compliance:

    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to painting and finishing.

    • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, materials, and environmental regulations.

    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the finished product meets quality standards.

  4. Team Collaboration & Communication:

    • Work closely with designers, event planners, and other team members to understand project requirements.

    • Communicate progress, issues, or concerns to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Painter, preferably in an event or theatrical setting.

  • Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, tools, and equipment, including paint spraying machines.

  • Strong attention to detail, artistic ability, and manual dexterity.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.

  • Familiarity with inventory management procedures.

  • Commitment to safety, compliance with regulations, and environmental consciousness.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; professional certification in painting or related field is a plus.

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed to complete a job on time.
